Directory of French Resources and Services: Our association is the editor of the Directory of French Services for the Thousand-Islands Region. The publication highlights services or products in the French language that are made available to the local population through private, public and community services. Printed in 5000 copies, this directory is published every two years and is widely distributed to the population and organizations in our region. The directory is free of charge. French Employment Resource Centre : The ACFO Mille-Îles French Employment Resource Centre (FERC) offers services to job seekers who want to enter the job market and/or change careers. Since it opened in 2000, the FERC has employed a team of employment professionals who deliver quality services in both official languages (English and French). Our professionals have been trained in areas related to career counselling so they can deliver professional, personalized services that meet clients' needs. As a proud member of ONESTEP and the Canadian Counselling Association, the FERC stays on top of new developments in employment and maintains a well-established network of contacts in the community.  To learn more about FERC and how we can help you, click here

French Services Fair : Held annually on the third Saturday of October. A French Services Fair providing a great opportunity for the exhibitors to showcase their services and products and for the public to discover various resources available locally in the French language.

Monthly broadcasting message of the French-speaking activities in the region: Every month we produce a list of activities taking place in French in the area. The information is submitted to us by the organizers of local events and it is possible for the public to get this monthly broadcast, to do so please send us a request and we will put you on our email list. Information and reference Center for French Services : Due to the nature and the diverse activities of our Association, we bring together numerous information on the services and the resources useful to the French speaking population. We can be of help if you are looking for an existing service, or wish to know if a specific service is available in our community. Whatever your question might be, we will be pleased to inform you.

French community on the WEB - ACFO has the most complete site talking about the francophonie in the Thousand Islands. All francophone community organizations are listed and hyperlinks are provided to ease you accessing those. ACFO Web Site contains also some general information about the Francophones in the region.

Historical Brochure : ACFO edited a pamphlet in both official languages about the history of Kingston "The Francophone Presence in Kingston - Past and Present". This pamphlet is available in many tourist attractions, Hotels, Restaurants, City Hall and Kingston Tourist Office.

"Michel-Sarrazin Award" : Annual Award presented at the three Regional Science Fairs in the Thousand Islands Region for participants registered in the French Language and French Immersion schools.

"ACFO Award" : Annual Award given to all French High schools to a student who showed a strong commitment to the well being of its school and presenting their science projet in the French language.

"ACFO Mille-Îles 25th Anniversary Scholarship" : Bursary of an amount of $500 is offered annually to two high school graduates enrolled in French language High Schools in the region who have been admitted at university in sciences, pure sciences or health sciences in a Bachelor's Degree Program.

Francophonie in the Thousand-Islands - The 25th Anniversary Retrospect Book Publication wasmade to mark 25 years of ACFO services to the community. Published in the French language, this book is well documented and would remain a resource that refers to the local history of the French community and to its growth. Printed in 750 copies, the book has already been sent to all public libraries in the area.
