Description

Position Summary: SMG Canada, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities is currently recruiting for positions in the Department of Food and Beverage for Kitchen Dishwashers for the upcoming Fall and Winter Concert and Hockey season.

Major Responsibilities:
► Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Comply with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment and identify unsafe practices and conditions.
► Responsible to clean all soiled trays, glasses, etc., to promote a clean and hospitable work environment.
► Ensure that work area maintains a professional appearance.

Role Specifications and Abilities
► Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
► Ability to work and excel in a fast paced environment
► Occasional closing kitchen duties required; to include, cleaning the work area, putting away supplies, emptying garbage, sweeping and mopping floors etc.,
► Other duties as assigned in particular moving between service areas and reporting to managers in order to achieve effective execution of the varied events at the K-Rock Centre.
► Ability to communicate with team mates, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, professional and respectful manner with a focus on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
► Successful candidate will work flexible hours for all shifts. This includes early mornings, days, evenings, late nights, weekends and holidays as event business demands.

Minimum Qualifications:
► Completion of Grade 10
► Applicants must have reached their 16th birthday
► Valid Food Safety Certificate
► WHMIS Training recommended
► Related experience in quick service, concessions or restaurant services and asset.
► Varying hours Part Time up to 15 hours per week / Seasonal

Physical Effort:
This position requires minimal stooping and lifting, substantial standing; walking and manual dexterity to operate kitchen dishwashing equipment is required.

Working Conditions:
Works mostly in kitchen.
