KFL&A Public Health is a local public health agency with over 200 staff and 150 volunteers who deliver public health programs and services to the people of the KFL&A area. The Corporate Services Division has an immediate opening for an Accountant/Bookkeeper, Financial Services.
The Accountant/Bookkeeper, under the direction of the Manager, is responsible for performing payroll and accounting functions. They will assist in budget preparation, financial reporting and year end duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or Commerce, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and three years related accounting and payroll experience in a computerized accounting environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel at the intermediate level and minimum data entry speed of 175 keystrokes per minute with 95% accuracy is also required.
An Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance and Relevant payroll certification (PCP, CPM) is an asset.
