Our services include a variety of individual and family counselling, women’s programs, a range of community programs, credit and financial counselling, family service employee assistance program, consulting and education services.
We are recruiting for a Director of Community Services
About the Position
Reporting to the Executive Director and as an active member of the leadership team, the Director of Community Services is responsible for leading a dynamic team of community program counselling professionals. The incumbent is responsible for leading a team made up of the following programs: Partner Assault Response, Adult Protective Services, Credit Counselling, the Belleville Trusteeship, Residential Placement Advisory, Youth in Transition and Housing Support.
Responsibilities include monitoring, evaluating and reporting on all program activities including completion of government and funder reports. In addition, the position will require strategic planning as well as directing and motivating staff, while representing the agency in a variety of program and community interactions.
The incumbent provides leadership and direction to community programs to ensure
they meet the needs of clients, fulfills the mission of the agency, and ensures that the
programs are provided in accordance with organizational and professional standards.
The incumbent will develop and maintain programs that are informed by community
relationships, and will demonstrate effective leadership and strategic thinking to
understand and respond to the needs of clients, staff and stakeholders across a range of
community programs.
About You
You have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Business and/or equivalent and have a
membership in a professional association. You have 5-8 years experience in a senior role
including as a manager or supervisor, with the ability to lead a team of various
disciplines. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in consumer debt,
credit counselling and/or financial literacy.
