The Frontenac Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) is a federally supported not-for-profit organization with a mandate to promote business development, job creation and to strengthen the rural economy. The organization is one of 267 Community Futures across Canada and the Frontenac CFDC is celebrating its 15th year in operation. The Frontenac CFDC is based in Harrowsmith, Ontario.
Loans Administrator Position
This is a new full-time position within the organization that will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity for advancement. We seek an individual with an eagerness to learn, solid financial analysis proficiency, excellent interpersonal skills and strong proficiency on multiple computer programs.
The position involves the administration of new commercial loans and the ongoing management of the existing portfolio. The candidate will have the chance to participate in a business lending course(s) and upon successful completion, have the opportunity to advance to a Business Advisor and Loans Officer position. This position provides counselling to small business owners and individuals looking to start a business. As well, they review, analyze, and assess loan applications for consideration by the Investment Committee.
Starting salary is $40,000/year, plus 4% contribution to RSP, 3 weeks’ vacation and after three months, Health and Dental benefits. The cost of the training course (s) will be covered by the organization with the expectation that the candidate will do the course on their own time. Upon advancing to the position of Business Advisor and Loans Officer, the compensation will be approximately $60,000 plus benefits. All positions at the Frontenac CFDC are contracts with the contracts aligning with our funding agreements.
Skills & Experience / Compétences & expérience
The ideal candidate will possess:
Post-secondary degree/diploma in business, commerce or finance;
Aptitude to problem solve and pay close attention to detail;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team while consistently presenting a professional attitude and demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills, communications skills, sound judgment and strict confidentiality;
Working knowledge of software programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to learn loan management software;
Public speaking experience and ability to liaise with relevant organizations
Reasonable knowledge of Frontenac County and its business sectors
Valid driver’s license and vehicle;
Successful applicant will be required to provide a CPIC
