Our team is currently seeking two Electromechanical Technician/Technologists to join our Gananoque Team. Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for supporting our 24/7 manufacturing operation within the Gananoque facility.

MAIN ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Electrical and/or Mechanical support of the 24/7 automated manufacturing equipment and facility systems within an ISO 13485/FDA environment.
  • Troubleshoot, programming and repair of automated equipment (PLC) and operators interface (HMI) of different manufacturer (Omron, PLC Direct, Schneider, Allan-Bradley, and Siemens) and PC based control system, in compliance with change control processes.
  • Hands on or related experience with troubleshooting, repairing, assembling and upgrading automated production equipment utilizing appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Assist in the inspection, commissioning, adjustment, and evaluation of electrical components, electromechanical, and electronic assemblies to ensure their conformity with industry standards.
  • Install electrical and/or mechanical equipment, controls and wiring on industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge about operation, configuration, and troubleshooting of different frequency drives, soft starters, and other power components.
  • Create and execute assigned preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Should have a working knowledge of all types of AC/DC motors and controls including servos, steppers and induction motors.
  • Operate under Lean Manufacturing Principles in an ISO 13485 environment.
  • Ensure that daily/weekly/monthly tasks are completed as scheduled.
  • Perform work in keeping with Corporate Maintenance Excellence program and Maximo Maintenance IT Platform.
  • Follow sites 5S systems and processes
  • Ensure that the workstation is clean at all times
  • Ensure that tools are all calibrated and in working order.
  • Support/follow company Health & Safety working procedures and policies.
  • Collaboration with engineering OpEx and production teams.
  • Work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Responsible for seeing that all tasks are performed in a manner that complies with Ludlow’s Policies & Procedures, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Other tasks as required.

Skills & Experience / Compétences & expérience

QUALIFICATIONS

•Formal training in technical electrical and/or mechanical systems (Electrical-Mechanical-
Engineering Technician/Technologist at a College level or higher).
•Knowledge and experience of PLCs and strong troubleshooting skills.
•Knowledge of vision systems an asset
•Electrically and/or Mechanically inclined
•Able to read engineering drawings
•Ability to work in 24/7-12 hour shift environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
•Minimum High School diploma
•Certified Electrician, Electrical and/or Mechanical Technician/Technologist at a College level or
higher
•Related experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
