The Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC) is a registered non-profit, charitable organization
that supports and enhances the health and well-being of the military community. The KMFRC is Kingston’s
primary agency dedicated to meeting the unique needs of the military community. Programs and services
are designed to promote community development and to provide social, educational and volunteer
opportunities, empowering the military community and enhancing their health and well-being. KMFRC offers

Bilingual Receptionists

The Kingston Military Family Resource Centre requires Two Casual Receptionists

The Bilingual Receptionist position is responsible for greeting clients and delivering exceptional customer
service. This entails answering calls and fielding them accordingly, providing information and referral, taking
registrations and processing payments, while creating an overall welcoming environment. This position is
also be responsible for providing administrative support for the organization.

DESIRED MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
 High School Diploma;
 A minimum of two years’ experience in a related reception/Customer service;
 Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include knowledge of Word,
Excel, Access and Internet;
 Excellent written and oral skills in English and French;
 Proven initiative and strong organizational skills;
 Knowledge of local and national resources
 Specialized knowledge of protocol and issues facing military families and military communities
 Current CPIC including Vulnerable Sector Check
 Current First Aid/CPR Certificate

Special Conditions of Employment
 Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends;

 Physical Activity - Low levels of physical effort required. Usually can relax/vary body movement as
needed (ie: sitting at a desk, walking on even surfaces, lifting up to 11 pounds, keyboarding). On
occasion may lift up to 22 pounds (printed materials, supplies). And carry awkward weights on stairs or
from room to room for a period of less than ½ hr intervals.
