The Confidentiality Policy is to ensure that all users of ACFOMI Employment Services comply with all Federal and Provincial laws regarding privacy and security of clients’ records, employers and employees.
Thus, this policy requires that all personal information, documents and electronic documents collected will be subjected to all applicable Federal and Provincial laws.
This Confidentiality policy defines ‘Personal Information’ as any information that identifies you or allows an individual to deduce your identity.
In accordance with Agreements signed with various Funding Bodies, Representatives of various Governments Bodies will have access to your personal information. However, these representatives will be subjected to the same Federal and Provincial laws regarding the sharing of your Personal Information.
ACFOMI Employment Services is required, in accordance with its current Agreement with the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities, to make records available to the Ministry for the benefit of control visits, inquests and audits.
The Personal Information that you share will be recoded in your client file and will remain confidential.
Only employees of ACFOMI Employment Services, Representatives of various Government Bodies and yourself will have access to this information.
Be advised that all Personal Information collected while you are using services will be kept in a locked filing cabinet in a secured location within ACFOMI Employment Services office.
Finally, your file will be destroyed once it has been inactive for a period of 7 (seven) years.
